我一直覺得”掄”是一個很妙的字。它存在於我們的日常生活之中，卻不見得常被使用，當它被用上的時候，又往往令人覺得很恰當。
比如說，小李看見一些沒禮貌的痞子老盯著他打量，嘴裡嘟嘟囔囔，小李心頭一把火上來，就說，再看老子就拿椅子掄你！
是的，”掄”通常會與家具類的物體放在一起使用，桌子不見得好拿，沙發跟床太重，一手可以提起的椅子就是最適合”掄”的東西了。再舉例，外國人也會做這個動作，只可惜他們沒有”掄”這個好字可以形容。

本例有點長，但看完之後我無限感慨，為什麼他們只能用threw呢？要是可以用”掄”，一定能夠描繪得更生靈活現。很多人都不喜歡外國人表面上的假禮貌，這樣說來史提夫包莫先生的真性情實在難得，雖然年紀不小了但是還可以輕鬆地拿椅子掄牆壁，健康應該也無慮，可喜可賀。附帶一提，他說他沒有掄。如果真的有，我想他的德行和控制力還算不錯的，因為他起碼掄的是牆壁，不是那個惹惱他的人。
